Ok, so maybe I'm a little bias here because I don't usually play match 3 games. But, in my defense I DO play them when there is a point and something is happening within the game. For example, build a village, feed the world, kill the aliens - get my drift? But when all you do is match 3 over and over and over it isn't even a mindless, senseless game - it's boring. What was the point. After 30 minutes I was falling asleep. I gave the next 30 minutes up to my 6 year old granddaughter who got bored after 15 minutes and asked if there was something "funner" to play. This just isn't for me but for those match 3 fanatics out there go for it. One difference from all those over monotonous match 3 games? Click on LOOM and all your hard labor will ultimately uncover some interesting tapestries. Glam-ma says both thumbs down.
If you like classic match 3 games, then you'll like this game. Some of the boards are a little challenging, but not so hard as to make you frustrated. Very basic story line, so if you like that in your games, you'll be sorely disappointed. Overall, it's a fun, basic game of match 3.
I love match 3 games, and while this game was one, it just didn't do it for me. Music constant (no change of tune) reminiscent of Luigi's Pizza Parlour and elevator music, I did my best to ignore it. Graphics are fun and bright but (and it may be that I've been spoiled by the newer games out there) awful quality, no crisp edges - if I hadn't known that I was looking at a boat, I might have thought it was a confused potato perhaps. The sad thing is, I don't (like another reviewer) see what the point was? I could have gone on and on, manipulating the pearls down the game board and making matches to make the background disappear - but to what end?! I know there was a story of love lurking under here somewhere but not enough for me, sadly lacking. To be nice - I suggest playing it for yourself if you feel like a bit of mind-numbing matching to while away an hour or so.
A classic match 3. The tables are not large, so finish quickly. At each stage you gain points and pearls. When you blow a row of 4 or more, you get hints to blow entire rows (up, down, diagonal, etc.). Each phase has a goal - the quantity of pearls, black pearls, daggers, etc.. Almost no challenging, but enjoyable. Good to relax.
